Lifestyle precinct at Tun Razak Exchange to open in 4Q2023
Shops are going to include “new-to-market brand names, statement stores, and reimagined outlet formats”. Support tenants consist of Golden Screen Cinemas, Japanese chain store Seibu, and even Hong Kong’s Dairy Farm Company. There can also be 100 dining shops.
Mitch Wilson, campaign director for The Exchange TRX also head of market for Lendlease Malaysia, states that the lifestyle district is imagined as a “city-defining project” within TRX. “As a global organization, we are going to showcase our global placemaking knowledge together with our 43-year background in Malaysia to present our signature strategy to experiential retail.”
The Exchange TRX will have a 10-acre roof public-activated recreation area. Called TRX City Park, it is developed by Lendlease in collaboration with landscape architects Oculus & Pentago. It will feature young children’s play areas, water functions, and shaded enclaves. It will equally serve as a location to host shows including occasions.
Wilson includes that tenancy levels at The Exchange TRC are “well ahead of market ratios”. “Our team believe the unique retail mix enhanced by dynamic recreation and also entertainment activations will serve as a key point of differentiation and even will drive visitors to remain even longer and also make repeated trips.”
The Exchange TRX, the lifestyle precinct of the Tun Razak Exchange (TRX) in Kuala Lumpur, is readied to open in 4Q2023. According to builder Landlease, The Exchange TRX will have at least 400 outlets around 4 retail degrees, with 1.3 million sq ft of total net lettable area.
